Oct. 7, 2013. On Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 8 p.m. Frank Warren, who is the founder and creator of the PostSecret movement, will be at the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts. PostSecret is both a series of books and an ongoing project which collects homemade postcards sent to Warren anonymously, depicting the senders deepest held secrets and allowing them to share with the world without being known. Tickets for this event are $20 for adults and $10 for students with valid student ID.

Tickets are still currently available for this exciting event.

The popular book series and movement has for years garnered the attention of young people including students.

imgres-1Warren has appeared on the Today Show20/20, CNN, MSNBC, CBC, NPR, and Fox News. USA Today called Warren, “An award-winning blogger, a first-time author, an artist with a traveling exhibit, a possible documentary subject, the inspiration for a music video and the all-around media ‘it’ boy of the moment.”

“I have been asked many times why I started this. It still feels to me as though this project found me. All I try to do is make the right decisions every day to protect the integrity of the project – and learn to trust the journey,” said Warren.

On Nov. 1 at 8 p.m., the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts will host the Tedeschi Trucks Band, an 11-piece musical ensemble led by husband and wife team Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi. Tickets for the concert are $30 for adults and $18 for students with a valid student ID.

On Friday, Nov. 15, the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts will host Savion Glover’s STePz, a celebration of tap dance and sound. Glover and his team of dancers will showcase complex moves and varied combinations to the awed audience. Tickets to the show are $20 for adults, $16 for faculty and staff and $10 for students with a valid student ID.

The STePz show will signal the end of the 2013 Performing Arts Series at ASU, however, the 2014 section of the series will pick back up in January with many more performances.
