Sept. 24, 2013. On Sept. 1, narcotics detectives from the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office arrested three individuals in a vehicle stop after they purchased precursors that are commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine. Two of those arrested had previous outstanding warrants in Ashe counties.
Carol Renee Main, 43, of 8529 Three Top Road in Todd, was charged with conspiracy to manufacture meth and possession of meth precursors. Main was taken to the Watauga County Jail where she was held under a $27,700 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in district criminal court on Sept. 19. Main had additional warrants from Ashe County that she was served with for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Kimberly Walker Greer, 50, of 8529 Three Top Road in Todd, was charged with conspiracy to manufacture meth, possession of meth precursors, and possession of marijuana. Greer was taken to the Watauga County Jail where she was held under a $25,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in District Criminal Court on Sept. 19.
Sean Mark Stamper, 28, of 395 Phoenix Drive in Lansing, was charged with conspiracy to manufacture meth and possession of meth precursors, and fictitious information to an officer. Stamper was taken to the Watauga County Jail where he was held under a $27,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in district criminal court on Sept. 19. Stamper had original warrants from Ashe County that he was served with for driving while license revoked.
“We have made a significant impact on preventing methamphetamine production at its core. Meth cooks can’t produce methamphetamine without pseudoephedrine. By combating the items used to manufacture methamphetamine, we have cut down on meth production,” Sheriff Len Hagaman said.
