Bob and Patty Tatum, the husband-and-wife duet who make up Sound Traveler, have a fitting name.  The duo met at an open mic night at Carolina BBQ in Newland, and today they travel up and down the east coast sharing their diverse array of sounds and styles.
“It is not unusual to hear a dozen different instruments in any given Sound Traveler performance,” says concert organizer, Mark Freed.  “Not too bad for a duet!”

Sound Traveler performs acoustic versions of rock and pop covers, classic standards, country and bluegrass favorites, R7B and blues hits, gospel songs, and even some original compositions.

“These guys will have something for just about everyone,” Freed adds.

Following Sound Traveler, another husband-and-wife duo will take to the porch.  Steve and Ruth Smith are no strangers to the High Country or the Jones House concerts.

“Steve and Ruth are annual favorites for many of our long-time concert goers at the Jones House,” Freed says.
