Third Arrest Made in Alliance Bible Fellowship Break-In, Mom in Possession of Stolen Property from Church

Aug. 14, 2014. On Aug. 13, 2014, Boone Police investigators arrested Kathy Pulley Toler, 50, of Linda Lane, Vilas, NC, for one count of felony possession of stolen property from Alliance Bible Fellowship in Boone.

Toler is the mother of previously arrested James Eddie Pulley. She was taken before a Watauga County Magistrate where she was assigned a court date of Sept. 24, 2014, and placed under a $10,000 secured bond.

Aug. 6, 2014. On July 30, 2014, Jessica Carol Cullbreth and James Eddie Pulley, went to Alliance Bible Fellowship claiming to be in dire need of assistance. The organization helped Jessica Cullbreth and James Pulley by providing them with food, gasoline for their vehicle, and school supplies for their children.

On July 31, the Boone Police Department received a report of a Breaking and Entering and Larceny at Alliance Bible Fellowship where over $1,000 in power equipment was stolen. Investigators quickly identified Jessica Cullbreth and James Pulley as suspects in the crime.

As a result of the investigation, Cullbreth and Pulley were charged with the Breaking and Entering and Larceny. The stolen property was located and recovered from the home of Cullbreth and Pulley and at various pawnshops in Tennessee.

As a result of this incident, Jessica Carol Cullbreth, 26, was charged with:

  • Felony Breaking and Entering;
  • Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering;
  • Felony Larceny;
  • Felony Obstruction of Justice
  • Felony Conspiracy to Commit Breaking and Entering.

As a result of this incident, James Eddie Pulley, 30, was charged with:

  • Felony Breaking and Entering;
  • Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering;
  • Felony Larceny;
  • Felony Obstruction of Justice
  • Felony Conspiracy to Commit Breaking and Entering.

Investigators also served Cullbreth and Pulley with outstanding warrants from Durham and Wake Counties for various charges. Cullbreth was held in the Watauga County Detention Center under a $68,500 secured bond. Pulley was held in the Watauga County Detention Center under a $112,000 secured bond. They are both scheduled to appear in Watauga District Court on September 24, 2014. The Watauga County Sheriff’s Office assisted with this investigation.
