The Ducky Regatta is a major fundraiser for Casting Bread Ministries serving thousands of of High Country families each year through the food pantry and soup kitchen. Since 2006 Casting Bread has been providing our friends and neighbors this critical service. Providing access to food allows individuals and families to direct their limited resources to other needs, such as housing, utilities, and transportation.
While recognizing our obligation to meet the crisis needs of our friends and neighbors we are committing efforts and resources to finding solutions to why our participants find themselves in crisis to begin with. Our primary focus to meet this goal in 2018 to to launch Casting Bread Bakery. The bakery will provide job skill development and training opportunities as well as partner with other community agencies and groups to provide the training and supports necessary to ensure participants are successful in their journey out of crisis and poverty.
