July 18, 2013. This coming Friday, the Spice Creek Ramblers, a local guitar and upright bass duo, will perform during Murphy’s weekly concerts on the back patio.
The Murphy’s patio has a laid back atmosphere where people eat, drink and socialize. The free show runs from 6 to 8 p.m.
Residing west of Sugar Grove, the Spice Creek Ramblers’ sound is rooted in country, blues and folk. Nate Harris, on vocals, guitar and harmonica, is a prolific songwriter, and Jesse Wood plays upright bass. While the majority of tunes are originals, Spice Creek Ramblers sprinkle in covers of traditional songs, Townes Van Zandt tunes and a Dylan song or two.
