Sept. 12, 2013. Lees-McRae College Outdoor Programs is excited to host the 8th annual REEL ROCK Film Tour on Thursday, Sept. 26. Wily’s Bar and Grill will hold an opening reception starting at 7 p.m. Then at 8 p.m. the event will transition to Evans Auditorium for the premier of the films.

The REEL ROCK Film Tour is free for all Lees-McRae students, faculty and staff. It is also open to the public and donations will be accepted and appreciated. Wily’s Bar and Grill will be serving beer and wine for those who wish to partake, and also showing clips from previous REEL ROCK tours. Promptly at 8 p.m. the past films will end to make way for the premier of the new films, which will be shown in Evans Auditorium.

The tour is designed to bring those who share a love and passion for the outdoors together and to be inspired by amazing footage of climbers and outdoorsmen pushing themselves to the limit. Along with the films, booths will be set up in the back of Evans Auditorium. Vendors will include the Mast General Store, Footsloggers, Rock Dimensions, North Carolina Outward Bound School and North Carolina Climbers Coalition. The event is being hosted by Lees-McRae Outdoor Programs. The REEL ROCK Tour at Lees-McRae will benefit the Carolina Climbers Coalition and the Lees-McRae Rock Climbing Team.
