The Montana Repertory Theatre Presents The Miracle Worker April 3 at Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts

March 17, 2014. For the past 47 years, Montana Repertory Theatre is one of the oldest touring theatre companies in the country. As part of Appalachian State University’s Performing Arts Series, Montana Rep brings their production of The Miracle Worker to the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, April 3 at 8 p.m.

imgres-1The Miracle Worker is the story of Helen Heller, deaf and blind since infancy, who finds her way into the world of knowledge and understanding with the help of Anne Sullivan, her gifted tutor.

In some of the most turbulent and emotion-packed scenes ever presented on the stage, Helen overcomes rage and confusion to triumph over her physical disabilities. 

Montana Rep, an Equity company based at the University of Montana in Missoula presenting more than 500 performances in 200 communities from California to New York. Montana Rep assembles principle actors, directors and designers with prestigious credits, including Broadway, Off-Broadway, national tours of Broadway shows and major regional theatre credits.

Beginning in 1992, the Montana Rep inaugurated an expanded residency program, perfect for high school assembles and classrooms, for which study guides are provided. Adult tickets are $20 and student tickets are $10. The Pick 5 discount is available for this show and offers a break on the ticket price when the tickets are purchased in multiples of five. The Pick 5 discount is offered on most of the events during the Performing Arts Series.
