Nov. 27, 2013. Scheduled for today – Wednesday, Nov. 27, the second of two review committee meetings regarding the “The House of the Spirits” book challenge that features interim Supt. David Fonseca and four others on the committee has been cancelled.
WCS spokesman Marshall Ashcraft mentioned that Fonseca and the committee members will reschedule the meeting at a later date.
Depending on how the committee rules, Chastity Lesesne, the parent who objected to the book read in the Watauga High School, may file a final appeal to be heard by the Watauga County Board of Education.
