The High Country Trolley Wine Tour Begins Today at Noon; October Trolley Wine Tour Already Scheduled

Aug. 22, 2013. Today marks the August edition of the High Country Trolley Wine Tour, which will take guests to different wineries in the High Country to taste and experience all that the wine industry in this area has to offer.

Featured on the wine tour, which is hosted by the Avery County Chamber of Commerce, are Grandfather Vineyard and Winery, Banner Elk Winery and 1861 Farmhouse and Winery. The tour will begin at noon at Erick’s Cheese and Wine Shop in Tynecastle. 

The tour will have transportation provided on a luxurious San Francisco-style trolley provided by Air Haven Limousine. Beginning at noon, the tickets for the tour  also comes with a keepsake glass from the tour and a provided boxed lunch to enjoy. 

There is already a wine tour scheduled to be held in October, which will feature completely different establishments. On the October tour, Linville Falls Winery, Plumtree Valley Vineyards and Blind Squirrel Brewery will be featured.
