Oct. 9, 2013. The Blowing Rock Farmers’ Market is a fixture in the High Country for residents and visitors alike to look around and purchase local items from area neighbors.

From May through October, this weekly event, held on Thursday afternoons from 4-6 p.m., is one that draws many visitors to the beautiful Park Avenue throughout the entire summer.

Now that autumn is finally upon us, sadly the Farmers’ Market must wind to a close. Thursday, Oct. 10 marks the last Blowing Rock Farmers’ Market of the season.

If you’ve never had a chance to make it to the Farmers’ Market, or if you are looking to make one last trip for local fare, be sure to head down to the last 2013 market to pick up some great local items.

Items included in the market’s lineup include honey, raw vegetables, jams and jellies, a variety of fresh baked goods, wines, locally grown plants, locally raised eggs, fresh meats, cheeses, herbs, fruits and much more.

The Blowing Rock Farmers’ Market is located on Park Avenue off of Main Street right in front of the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce.
