By Jessica Isaacs | jessica@highcountrypress.com

Start your weekend off right with a fun new experience for the whole family! Saturday Kids Theatre returns this weekend at Ensemble Stage with a performance of The Commedia Robin Hood on July 9.

This commedia dell’arte rendition is a shorter version of the classic folk tale Robin Hood and is largely based on robin-hood-logo-copyimprovisation and off-the-cuff comedy. Hilarious hijinks and delightful adventure are bound to ensue during this fun-for-all show that promises lots of smiles and an all-around great way to start the day. You and your kids can even become part of the show!

The Commedia Robin Hood is a production of Ensemble Stage, Blowing Rock’s very own professional theatre company, and the show will take place in the Blowing Rock School Auditorium

As with all Saturday Kids Theatre performances, curtain time is set for 11 a.m. and the show will last approximately one hour.

All tickets are $6 plus tax in cash or check and are to be purchased at the door. Only general seating is available for kids theatre shows.

Saturday Kids Theatre is sponsored in part by the Blowing Rock Community Foundation.

You can see The Commedia Cinderella on July 23 and The Commedia Robin Hood again on July 30.
