The Blue Ridge Conservancy Club at ASU Adopts the Historic Glen Burney Trail in Blowing Rock

May 6, 2013. The Blue Ridge Conservancy Student Club at ASU has adopted the Glen Burney Trail in Blowing Rock. This historic waterfall trail, a popular destination for hikers, is located just off of the streets of Blowing Rock. Reputed to be an old Native American Pathway, the club has taken responsibility for keeping the trail clean and clearing it of debris and litter periodically.

In addition, the club has applied for a grant to replace all of the trail signs for each of the three waterfalls as well as directional signs to help guests navigate.

On Saturday, April 27, students from Mountain Alliance and the BRC Student club spent four hours picking up litter and clearing debris from the trail.
