July 5, 2013. The Blowing Rock Frameworks and Gallery will host an artist reception on Saturday, July 6 for artists participating in the July show, Blowing Rock  and Beyond.

This particular art show will include artists such as Jerry Kirk, Raney Rogers, Richard Fennell, Egidido Antonaccio, Dave Syfert, Paul de Marrais, Lita Gatlin, Pat Pilkington, Fred Sprock, Joana Wardell, Wesley Waugh, Mary Page Whitley, Jason Drake, Peggy Carlson and George Snyder.

Each of the 14 artists have submitted three works of art, one of Grandfather Mountain, one of Blowing Rock, and one High Country scene of the artist’s choice.

“It’s a really cool show,” said Tim Miller of Blowing Rock Frameworks and Gallery.

“Artists have painted scenes from different perspectives and different mediums. It’s such a wide variety of pieces.”

The artist reception will run from 5-8 p.m. on July 6 and will feature some fantastic hors d’oeuvres including fine wines and fine aged cheddar cheeses. The best part is that this reception is free and open to the public.

This reception will mark the 102nd artist reception that the Blowing Rock Frameworks and Gallery has hosted in 19 years. Opened in May 1994, their mission has always been to bring beautiful art to the people.

“We don’t sell copy art,” Miller said.

“We only sell originals. Each piece is an affordable one-of-a-kind piece of art, whether it be oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic or other mediums.”

This unique show is great for members of the community who wish to see fine art with recognizable subjects, and meet the creators of the beautiful pieces at the same time.

“To anyone who wants to see local painters who paint wonderful local scenes of the High Country, this is the ticket!” Miller said.

Blowing Rock Frameworks and Gallery is located at 7539 Valley Boulevard in Blowing Rock. For more information, please call 828-265-0041 or click here
