The main attraction for the day will be the sampling of many domestic, craft and import beers; hard ciders; wines; champagnes; small batch spirits like whiskey, liquor, brandy, vodka, gin, rum, whiskey and moonshine. But this is not just a beer, wine and spirits tasting!

imgresLive music performances by The King Bees, The Johnson Brothers and Soul Benefactor are scheduled throughout the afternoon, specific show times for each band can be found at www.SugarBrew.com/bands. John Carter, co-anchor of WBTV News This Morning at WBTV News at Noon will be emceeing the day.

All-American summertime food and drink like Certified Angus Beef hamburgers, North Carolina sweet tea, soft pretzels, kettle corn, sodas and homemade, super premium beer flavored ice cream made by Blue Ridge Ice Creams are just some of the choices. The hot dog selection is crazy. Start with the Spicy Dog, complete with nacho cheese, jalapenos and a drizzle of barbecue sauce. Next, try the Slaw Dog, capped with onions, chili and slaw. The Coney Dog, topped with special chili, melted cheese and chopped onions should be out of this world and finally the Bacon Cheese Dog rounds out the hot dog palette.

Cool mountain temperatures and fresh country air should entice you to take a ski-lift ride to Sugar’s 5,300 foot peak. Need a little activity? Try your hand and skill at cornhole. Sugar Mountain Sports Shop’s 10-70 percent off winter merchandise sale will be going on from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. and discounted 2014-15 winter season passes will conveniently be on sale.
