This weekend, December 8 through 10 visit Sugar Mountain Ski Resort for its annual SugarFest celebration.
Participants can expect to rub shoulders with Olympians Paul Wylie & Marco Sullivan, test drive this season’s skis & snowboards, view a wintery fireworks show, listen to the Shelby Rae Moore band, and partake in an après ski/snowboard party or the mini snowboard games. An intensive three-day ski clinic shakes campers into physical shape. Lodging deals are abundant. A hot chocolate with whipped cream bar and North Carolina BBQ headline SugarFEAST. And of course, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort features skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, tubing, and snowshoeing, Southern Style.

OLYMPIANS
Four-time Olympian and World Cup downhill winner, Marco Sullivan heads up the three days preseason ski clinic and 1992 Olympic figure skating silver medalist Paul Wylie performs an amazing show on-ice followed by an ice skating clinic, a meet and greet session, and a chance to hold a real, Olympic silver medal, Friday evening at 7pm.

AFTER SKI PARTY & FIREWORKS
Food, drinks and dancing to live bluegrass music by Shelby Rae Moore band. 4:00 – 7:00pm, Saturday. Fireworks presented by the Village of Sugar Mountain. 5:45pm, Saturday.

Soup Safari: 11:00am, Saturday. Hot Chocolate and Whipped Cream Bar: 5:00pm, Saturday. BBQ and Sweet Tea Lunch & Dinner: 11:00am – 7:00pm, Saturday & Sunday. Lots of food and drink to fill you up and enjoy!
EDGE of the WORLD Mini Games
Shred and jib at Sugar Mountain for the afternoon. Fun, bragging rights and free gear. On-snow registration at 11:00am at the EOW tent located at the bottom of the Big Birch slope. Fun starts at noon.
