“As a member of the planning committee, I like to create sessions that I would want to attend and that cover timely issues for non-profits right now. We have a dynamo speaker on fundraising and a special session on legal compliance that goes beyond what nonprofits normally think about,” said Jennifer Grubb, executive director of Western Youth Network, a relationship-focused resource for youth and families.

“Also, the networking opportunity is huge. It’s a great time to talk about how non-profit organizations can share resources, collaborate and work together more strategically,” Grubb said.

Stone Soup III is made possible by the Watauga County Community Foundation, High Country United Way, Donor Express Software, Hospitality House of Boone, Hope Pregnancy Resource Center, Western Youth Network, Caldwell Community College Small Business Center, Watauga County Habitat for Humanity and Appalachian State University’s ACT program.
