April 22, 2014. Watauga County Relay for Life will get a big boost this spring with the 2014 Spring Thaw 5K Road Race on Saturday, April 26. Sponsored by local team, Jerry’s Intimidators, the 5K will be raising money to benefit Watauga County Relay for Life’s fight to find a cure for cancer.

imgresJerry’s Intimidators was formed in honor of Jerry Younce who tragically passed away from colon cancer in 1997. In his memory, the team is just one of the many teams involved in Watauga County Relay for Life that works throughout the year to raise money for cancer awareness and research. Jerry’s Intimidators is joined by local area businesses to sponsor the race.
