Produced by Electus and the Weinstein Company, Southern Justice explores the work of law enforcement agencies in Sullivan County, TN and Ashe County, NC, headed up by Sheriff Wayne Anderson and Sheriff James Williams, respectively. Both Sheriffs strive to enforce the law with compassion, an approach to crime-fighting that strives to keep the peace by maintaining strong relationships between Sheriffs’ Office representatives and local residents.

The new season features new deputies in both counties coming face to face with the realities of law enforcement in Appalachia, from month-long manhunts to drug busts, to putting out emotional fires in domestic disputes and out-of-control blazes in the dry, wooded mountains.

“The new season of Southern Justice was filmed during the fall of 2015, when the Blue Ridge Mountains provide some of the most beautiful scenery in the country – but crime is on the rise,” said Executive Producer Jim Lindsay. “We’re honored to continue to work so closely with the law enforcement groups that allowed unprecedented transparency, and viewers will enjoy being closer to the action than ever before.”
