Feb. 26, 2015. The regional office of the National Weather Service has issued a winter-weather advisory for black ice that is expected to cover roadways tonight and on Friday morning.
Because temperatures reached the mid to upper 30s in the northwest and central parts of the state today, snow melt will freeze on sidewalks, driveways and parking lots.
The advisory goes into effect at 6 p.m. and expires at noon on Friday.
RaysWeather.com forecasts a “surge of colder air” coming in tonight and light snow flurries on Friday morning.
