Singinintherain

Set in 1920s Hollywood, this cheery and whimsical comedy about the early days of sound film follows silent movie star with roots as a singer, dancer and stuntman Don Lockwood as he tries to make it in the budding business of the Hollywood Motion Picture.  With studio rivalries and romance running rampant, this heartfelt musical is sure to touch the hearts of young and old alike.

Director of the play and founder of the Lees-McRae Summer Theatre program, Dr. Janet Barton Speer has been attempting to put on the play for a while but has only just now found the right cast and crew to put on an adaptation of a film so close to her heart.
