Excited to be a part of the High Country’s art community? Looking to meet amazing people and help out your local museum?

The folks at Blowing Rock Art and History Museum are gearing up for the museum’s busy season, and they’re looking for volunteers to help coordinate and staff various events and programs.
Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
Docents– Have a talent for talking about art and history? Feel inspired to get other adults engaged in learning? Our docents serve as ambassadors to our exhibits. They are our “expert guides” to current and permanent work at BRAHM. Please attend our Docent Day on April 14th at 4:00 p.m. to learn more about becoming a Docent at BRAHM.
Reception– Become the face of BRAHM by welcoming visitors from all over the regoin and country to the museum and Blowing Rock.
Greeter– Help us greet patrons at the museum’s events and programs.
Hospitality– Fancy yourself a fabulous cook? Bring your delicious creations to the museum’s talks, lectures, and receptions.
Flyer Distribution– Spread the word about museum programming by distributing flyers and brochures across the region.
Gallery Security– Help us protect our artwork by staffing the gallery during private events.
Beautification– Love to garden? BRAHM wants your green thumb to aid us in beautifying our grounds.
If you’re interested in any of these positions and find yourself with extra time, become part of the museum community by sending an email or giving a ring at (828) 295-9099 ext.3005.
