N.C. Department of Transportation has closed the bridge on Shull’s Mill Road at Hound Ears Club on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Emergency Management Director Steve Suddreth said that traffic will have to access the resort community from Poplar Grove South Road or the upper side of Shull’s Mill.
“No traffic will be able to get there from Highway 105. Turnpike Road will be accessible from Highway 105 side,” Suddreth said via Watauga County Communications.
A representative from NCDOT didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
