Early birds packed the parking lot at Horn in the West on Saturday morning to shop the best in fresh produce, the finest cuts of mean and other local products at the Watauga County Farmers’ Market.
A long list of participating farmers, growers, bakers, chefs, florists, craftsmen, artisans and more were there bright and early to set up shop before the day began. When the clock struck 8 a.m., the crowd began to pour in with shopping bags in tow.
Live music, great shopping, plenty of food and a good time with friends and neighbors — what better way to start the weekend?
If you’ve been to the market before, you understand why it’s lovingly known as “Boone’s Town Square.” If you’ve never been, make sure you don’t miss it next week from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday morning at 591 Horn in the West Drive.
