The Lois E. Harrill Senior Center in Boone had an outstanding party yesterday in honor of Valentine’s Day. The get together was full of food, dancing and great conversation — all with love in the air!
The seniors at the center voted all month on who would be the King and Queen with the results being announced at the party. The 2017 King and Queen this Valentine’s Day were Melvin and Rosalee Norris who have been married for over 70 years!. Melvin is 92 (will be turning 93 this year) and Rosalee is 89 (turning 90 this year). The loving couple was surprised but overjoyed when they were announced as the winners, and they were crowned and given a coffee mug set, roses, certificate and a meal gift certificate donated by Mike’s Inland Seafood.
