Second Graders at Two Local Elementary Schools Win ‘Every Drop Counts’ Poster Contest

May 28, 2013. During the month of April the second graders at Two Rivers Community School and Hardin Park Elementary participated in the Town of Boone’s “Every Drop Counts” 2nd grade poster contest. This is an annual contest that is coordinated with National Drinking Water Week to help promote water conservation and protection.

2013 Poster Contest Winners 022The 8th annual poster contest had a total of 100 participants from Two Rivers Community School and Hardin Park Elementary. This year there was 100 percent participation from all five classes.

The first place winner received a brand new bicycle and helmet. Second place won an art kit complete with easel, and third place wins an outdoor exploration kit.

This year’s winners were as follows:

1st Place – Miss Gwendolyn Anderson (Mrs. Krause’s Class Hardin Park Elementary)

2nd Place – Miss Zea Joy Marty (Ms. Ali Zick Class Two Rivers Community School)

4rd Place – Miss Zoey Albert (Ms. Ali Zick Class Two Rivers Community School)

Honorable Mention – Charlize Bowen (Ms. Ali Zick Class Two Rivers Community School)
