The Season of the Farmers’ Market Is Here! Avery County and Watauga County Farmers’ Markets In Full Swing

The Avery County Farmers’ Market is open for the season, taking place every Thursday from 4:30-7:00 p.m. at the Old Banner Elk Elementary School.

The Farmers’ Market in Avery County provides the community to support local farmers that are selling fresh produce, jams and jellies, maple syrups, breads, raw honey, baked sweets and so much more! Shopping at the farmers’ market not only supports local farmers and the community, but it also gives you access to fresh foods that have been carefully cultivated and prepared.

Watauga County Farmers’ Market is also open for the season. It takes place every Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon at Horn in the West.

Don’t miss out on either of these Farmers’ Markets, as they are supporting local farmers and the fresh produce purchased at these markets is the most delicious that you will find throughout the High Country!
