Dec. 6, 2013. Even with an unseasonably warm few days, it’s clear to everyone in the High Country that Christmas is on its way. The snowflakes are up on King Street, the stores are lighting up their windows and the parades are starting up for yet another year of holiday cheer.
But nothing says Christmas in the High Country like Santa Claus, so it’s a good thing that he has made his way down from the North Pole to The Boone Mall, so children can sit on his lap, take a picture and tell Kris Kringle exactly what they want to find under their Christmas Tree.
Santa Claus will be at the Boone Mall this weekend, Friday from 4-9 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 6 p.m. He will be available during those times to listen to children’s wishes and snap a photo or two for the Christmas cards.
Santa will also be available every weekend through Christmas, as well as Monday and Tuesday Dec. 23 and 24.
Photographers are available to take photos with Santa, including two Appalachian State University students, junior Kayla Capps and senior Shey Chandler.
Photos can be purchased in single prints or packages with pricing as posted below:
