Samaritan’s Purse Hosting Open Job Fair for Help with Operation Christmas Child Tuesday, Oct. 9

Oct. 1, 2012. Samaritan’s Purse, the Christian-based international aid and relief organization in Boone, will be hosting an open job fair on Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m., for paid warehouse positions in the processing as part of Operation Christmas Child. All can attend and no appointments are necessary.

The seasonal warehouse positions are to be available in November and December with day and evening shifts available. Day shifts run from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Evening positions run from 3 to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Although all are welcomed to attend the job fair, there are some faith-based restrictions on who will be considered for employment. According to the Samaritan’s Purse website, they are “seeking qualified, committed Christians able to work six days per week, 40+ hours per week. Also assembling on-call team to be available for special needs. All employees must adhere to our Statement of Faith and provide a Pastor’s reference.”

The available positions listed are: team coach, dock workers, trainers and truck drivers. 

The job fair will be held at Samaritan’s Purse’s Boone headquarters, located at 801 Bamboo Road.
