Retired USMC Brigadier General To Teach Parkway Pre-K Students Flag Etiquette Monday

On Monday, June 6, at 9:45 a.m. retired U.S. Marine Corps Brigadier General Jim Walker from Boone will lead a Flag Day celebration for a pre-K class at Parkway Elementary School in Boone. Flag Day is on June 14.

General Walker will read to the preschoolers and teach them about flag etiquette.

Congresswoman Virginia Foxx will present the center with an American flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol.

General Walker is a member of Mission: Readiness, the national security organization of over 600 retired generals and admirals calling for smart investments in America’s children.
