The Third Annual CowBelle Classic, a women’s specific cycling event, is planned for Saturday, August 25, 2018. Women of all abilities are invited to participate in this non-competitive bicycle ride that includes four different routes of varying difficulty- all beginning and ending at the Old Cove Creek School park in Sugar Grove, NC.
The CowBelle Classic was conceived to encourage all women to enjoy the sport of cycling, experience the landscape of the high country, and join together in the supportive social body of women cyclists of the Boone area. The routes range from 15-65 miles through the countryside of Watauga and Ashe Counties in NC and Johnson County in TN. The ride concludes with ringing cowbells, lunch, music, and socializing at the park in Sugar Grove.
The CowBelle Classic is the only women’s exclusive ride offered in Western North Carolina and has sold-out in 2016 and 2017. Additional eager riders are placed on a first come, first served waiting list. This year’s ride capacity is 200 women.
Register now at www.cowbelleclassicride.com to reserve your rider slot, lunch, and a 2018 CowBelle Classic t-shirt. Early-bird registration is $30 per rider through July 1st. After that date, the registration fee increases to $40. Proceeds benefit advocacy for all cyclists in the High Country area.
