Now in its 15th year, RaysWeather.com’s 2018 Blue Ridge Parkway Calender will begin appearing in stores next week. Through tomorrow, Aug. 11, RaysWeather.com is selling the calendars at the pre-publication price of $12 here. Calendars will begin shipping out Aug. 14.
Once again, the images are stunning and represent a unique view of four season on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Photographers submitted more than 600, and a record 14,788 votes were cast in the calendar contest to decide which images would grace the months of the year.
“We’ve got some unique shots in there,” Ray Russell, owner of RaysWeather.com. “Kind of by accident – we didn’t do it because of the solar eclipse – but we have some astrology type shot. Just a phenomenal super moon shot in November and a meteor shower over Price Lake this month, which is really unique, and the cover shot just turned out terrific.”
The calendar will contain over 55 photos from the contest. It will also include climate data for each month for 14 cities along the 469-mile Blue Ridge Parkway, Blue Ridge Parkway information and even November/December 2017 calendar images, so you can use it sooner than later.
This calendar is also a fundraiser for the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation.
