July 29, 2013. According to climate archives at RaysWeather.com, Deep Gap residents woke up to temperatures just barely in the 40s this morning. At 6:36 a.m., a weather station in Deep Gap recorded 49.8 degrees.
Other parts of the High Country can expect that tonight as well.
While RaysWeather.com celebrates the two – for the most part – dry days forecasted for Monday and Tuesday, it also notes that temperatures tonight and tomorrow night are expected to be chilly in the valleys and drop into the upper-40s in the “typical cold holes” that include Banner Elk and Valle Crucis.
