Jim Morton with the Grandfather Mountain Stewardship Foundation captured a rainbow over Grandfather Mountain on Tuesday afternoon. Morton took the photo just after 6 p.m.

“It was one of the finest rainbows I’ve ever seen,” Morton said.

Perhaps this is a good omen for pretty weather on the horizon. RaysWeather.com is forecasting five golf ball days on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday for Boone.

The lone four golf ball day falls on Friday. That day still looks to be a beauty with a possible afternoon thunderstorm.

“Folks, there’s just not much to talk about with the weather except for how nice it will be through early next week,” RaysWeather.com’s forecast discussion reads.

As Ray said, “Enjoy!”
