The High Country Junior Freestyle Series team members participated in another slopestyle competition this past Saturday at Beech Mountain Resort. The park crew had set up a very difficult course in their new terrain park including both rails and jumps.
Athletes competed in the event skied or snowboarded, and a team of judges, staged at various points throughout the course, evaluated them on height of jumps, degree of trick difficulty, execution and personal style.
The next slopestyle competition in the High Country Junior Freestyle Series will be Sunday morning, Feb. 12 at App. Ski Mountain. Warmups from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and competition from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Spectator passes will be available at the registration desk in the Annex Airlock from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
