Sept. 29, 2014. The fourth-annual Harvest Boone Festival took place this past weekend at the High Country Fairgrounds off of Roby Greene Road.
Music of all genres were performed during the three-day, family festival. Activities and workshops included yoga under the willow tree, an interactive bowl singing mandala, poetry, liquid fermentation, mead making and much more.
With food donation as an option for entry, Harvest Boone Festival, in conjunction with its sister festival, Boone in Blossom, held in the spring, has raised more than seven tons of food for pantries, and more than 200 community service hours have been generated for various causes, such as river cleanup, with the festival’s community service for ticket option.
