The holidays are officially here in the High Country! The town of Blowing Rock’s annual Christmas festivities kicked off Saturday, heralding the happiest season of all here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The annual Christmas Parade highlighted a weekend packed full of events, drawing a crowd of excited sightseers to line the streets of downtown Blowing Rock. The parade featured American heroes, local school bands and performers, fun costumes, floats, animals, dancers, clowns, nonprofit groups and more. Brought to you by Blowing Rock Parks and Recreation, it traveled along Main Street from U.S. Highway 221 and concluded at the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum on Chestnut Street.
