A Perfect Saturday in Todd: Photos from the First TCPO Summer Concert of 2016

The sun was out in full force as folks convened at Cook Memorial Park on Saturday for the first concert of this year’s Todd Summer Music Series. Many concertgoers sat in the cool shade beneath the trees as they listened along with local artist Joseph Houck, who took the stage.

A steady flow of visitors poured in as the evening progressed, and friends and neighbors had plenty of opportunities to enjoy the sunshine in the park. The adjacent Todd Mercantile was busy with shoppers who flowed in and out of the store. River Girl Fishing Co. and New River Adventures ensured that guests were equipped with everything they needed to enjoy the nearby river. Some folks hopped over to an open field to play volleyball.

The Todd Community Preservation Organization, which hosts the annual concert series, was on hand to spread the word about ongoing projects and sold hotdogs, hamburgers and refreshments to the hungry crowd.

It was a perfect Saturday afternoon in the beautiful community of Todd with something for everything. If you missed it, don’t worry, the TCPO has six more weekend concerts lined up.

On Saturday, June 25, stop by the park to check out a performance by Strictly Strings. Bring your friends and make some new ones in Todd!
