Operation Heartbreaker Nabs Individuals on Avery Meth Charges Around Valentine’s Day

Taking advantage of the Valentine’s Day holiday, Avery County Sheriff’s Office and Newland Police department conducted a round-up of methamphetamine arrests. Many of these cases were because of Sudafed purchases involved in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. The follow persons were arrested with bonds between $35,000.00 and $125,000.00.

Shelia Hurt (40) Conspire to Manufacture Methamphetamine

Tyler Crowder (22 ) Conspire to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursor Chemicals

Lisa Taylor (40) Conspire to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursor Chemicals

Robert Keith Taylor (53) Conspire to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursor Chemicals

William Dean Coffey (51) Conspire to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursor Chemicals

James Harvey Coffey (54) Conspire to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursor Chemicals

Samuel Jason Scott (39) Conspire to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursor Chemicals

There are still outstanding warrants on four more individuals which should be apprehended within a few days.
