Jan. 20, 2015. In what has been designated the WinterFest flagship event, 14 restaurants will participate in this year’s annual WinterFEAST at Chetola Resort on Thursday, Jan. 22. The annual event will bring all of your favorite local restaurants under one roof, but if you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, you had better hurry! Less than 20 tickets remain for the popular culinary adventure.
“I liken it to a restaurant crawl that is all indoors and under one roof,” said Billie Rogers, event coordinator at the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce.
“Every restaurant gets a table and will give out small plate dishes of different foods. Each one puts out specialties from the restaurant and you can walk around to all of the different restaurants and taste food from all these different places without having to go outside.”
Only a few tickets are left for WinterFEAST, and interested parties may purchase their tickets over the phone or in person at the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce. Unsold tickets, if any, will be available at the door. Tickets for the event are $27 in advance and $32 at the door with a cash bar available.
Currently, only tickets for the 5:30 seating remain.
Participating restaurants this year include:
- Timberlake’s Restaurant at Chetola Resort
- Canyons of Blowing Rock
- Blowing Rock Ale House
- Best Cellar
- Roots Restaurant
- The Chestnut Grille at the Green Park Inn
- Meadowbrook Inn
- The Table at Crestwood
- Bald Guy Brew
- Bistro Roca
- Restaurant G
- The New Public House
- Stick Boy Bread Company
- Rowland’s Restaurant at Westglow
- Six Pence Pub
- Twigs
- Woodlands
“What most people do is that they go through and get samples from each of the restaurants and if they like something, they go back and get more,” Rogers said.
“But just remember, seating is only an hour! You can eat as much as you want in that hour, so it is a lot of fun!”
