March 25, 2013. Here’s a spring carol …
On the sixth day of spring Mother Nature brought to me:
Six snow plows,
five inches of snow,
four spinning tires,
three cars in the ditch,
two times the electric bill,
and another … missed … day … of school
Winter weather conditions continue. Avery County and Watauga County Schools cancelled classes on Tuesday. Schools spokesman weren’t available for comment early this morning as to what all these snow days will mean going forward. Check back for more info on that.
Lees-McRae College cancelled all its classes, and ASU cancelled classes that started before 11 a.m. Any studio or lab courses that were to start before 11 a.m. will convene at 11 a.m.
The Winter Storm Warning the National Weather Service issued on Sunday expires on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
