On Sunday, April 9, North Shore Animal League America brings Tour for Life to the Boone Mall, sharing the world’s largest adoption event with the High Country, in cooperation with Watauga Humane Society.

Tour for Life is a national adoption event that is provided by North Shore Animal League, one of the nation’s largest animal transport groups. There will be many animal rescues, humane societies, and animal care providers that will offer education, low cost services such as nail trimming, microchips, and rabies vaccinations. Also, live music, dog training demos from some of the area’s greatest dog trainers, and much more! Come out to the largest adoption event of the year and support North Shore Animal League and many more animal rescue groups!

The event lasts from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., and it involves more than just a chance to adopt a deserving furry friend. There will also be rabies and microchip clinics, grooming stations, shopping, pet vendors, goody bags and local entertainment. It is a family-friendly event that will be full of tail wags and furry hugs.

Some vendors that will be attending the event are:

Mast General Store Valle Crucis
Mountain Dog and Friends
My Best Friend’s Barkery
Watauga Humane Society Club at ASU
Watauga Humane Society Bare Bones Boutique Thrift Shop
The Watauga Humane Society Pet Stop Shop
SNIPS of Watauga Humane Society

The Tour for Life visits 54 cities in 32 states, and the fact that Boone is one of those cities is incredible, so you don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to participate in such an event that can provide a good time and good homes for a lot of animals who are searching for loving families.
