The theme for this year’s competition is “World Air Games,” celebrating the many aspects of aviation that are featured in the largest aerial sports event of the year. The 2015 World Air Games will take place in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

“We’re very proud of Noah for winning this state contest and wish him well in the national competition,” said Valle Crucis Principal Preston Clarke. “He is an excellent student, a fine young man, and a wonderful representative of our school and this school system.”

Noah’s entry will represent NC in the intermediate division of the national Aviation Art Contest.

The annual Aviation Art Contest is sponsored by the Division of Aviation of the NC Department of Transportation. Aviation Division Director Bobby Walston said the competition “is intended to get a younger generation interested in the many aspects of aviation, including the important role it plays in our society.”
