No Time Limit on Downtown Parking During Holiday Weekend; Jones House Open Saturdays in December

Nov. 20, 2012. The Town of Boone will not be enforcing time limits on parking in downtown Boone during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, according to a media release sent out by Downtown Boone Development Coordinator Pilar Fotta. Tickets will still be issued for illegal parking. 

According to the release, no time limits on parking will be in effect Thursday, Nov. 22 through Sunday, Nov. 25.

Also included in the release were notices regarding the Downtown Boone Christmas Parade and the Jones House’s hours of operation during December. 

The Annual Boone Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00. There also be a home Appalachian State University football game at 2 p.m. that afternoon.

During the month of December, the Jones House will be open the following Saturdays:

  • Saturday, Dec. 1, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • They will be offering hot cider and cookies following the parade
    • The lighting of the solar Christmas tree will take place at the Jones House on the 1st
  • Saturday, Dec. 8, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 15, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
