Newland Riverwalk Summertime Concert Series and Beech Mountain Summer Sunday Concerts Continue

June 10, 2013. The Newland Business Association’s Newland Riverwalk Summertime Concert Series continues this weekend with a concert featuring The Johnson Brothers. 

The free show is open to the public and will feature the bluegrass band from 6-9 p.m. rain or shine. In addition to the music, there will be food vendors, 50/50 drawings, nightly prizes and a grand prize drawing for a John Deere UTV held on Aug. 23. 

The rest of the Newland Riverwalk Summertime Concert Series lineup is as follows:

  • July 19: The Mighty, Mighty Bullfrogs
  • July 26: Night Eagle
  • Aug. 2: Mac Arnold Blues Band
  • Aug. 9: Bill Wharton “Sauce Boss”
  • Aug. 23: Ramajay (with fireworks) 

The Beech Mountain Summer Sunday Concerts have started up again at the gazebo at Fred’s Mercantile. The season starts up with Joe Shannon and the Mountain Home Bluegrass Boys at 6:30 p.m. 

Admission to all Beech Mountain Summer Sunday Concerts is free for the community to enjoy.

  • July 28: Rebecca Eggers-Gryder with Amantha Mill
  • Aug 4: The Sheets Family Band
  • Aug 11: The Watauga Community Band
