Two proposed changes in fishing regulations specifically affect Watauga County.
One mile of the Watauga River from the Watauga River Bridge on U.S. 321 in Sugar Grove to the confluence of Laurel Creek is to be designated as Public Mountain Trout Waters and Delayed Harvest Trout Waters, while a 1.8 mile section near Hound Ears Club that runs parallel with N.C. 105 is being removed from the Public Mountain Trout Waters and Delayed Harvest Trout Waters designation.
