Dec. 9, 2014. Lottery players across the state won more than $28.6 million in prizes this week and over the Thanksgiving holidays. Overall, instant scratch-off players in North Carolina won more than $20.5 million in prizes since Tuesday, Nov. 25. During that time, players of draw games won $8.1 million in total prizes.

Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $80 million if taken as an annuity or $49.1 million if taken as a lump sum. In the Nov. 28 Mega Millions drawing, 24,241 tickets won prizes ranging from $1 to $1,500, totaling $60,775. In Tuesday’s drawing, 26,268 tickets won $80,940 in prizes ranging from $1 to $2,500.
