NC Lottery Players Win $25 Million Last Week, Blowing Rock Man Among Those With Cash Prize

April 7, 2014. Since Thursday, March 27, lottery players in North Carolina won more than $25 million in prizes including six prizes from $100,000 to $1 million. During that time, players of instant scratch-off games won more than $19.1 million. Players of draw games won $5.9 million in total prizes. A Blowing Rock man was among the winners. Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $30 million if taken as an annuity or $16.6 million if taken as a lump sum. In Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing, 28,803 tickets won prizes ranging from $1 to $1 million totaling $1,090,413. In the March 28 drawing, 27,152 tickets won $79,930 in prizes ranging from $1 to $5,000.

Saturday’s Powerball players have the chance to win a $70 million jackpot if taken as an annuity or $40.7 million if taken as a lump sum. Wednesday’s Powerball drawing produced 12,974 winning tickets ranging from $4 to $20,000 totaling $104,765. The Saturday, March 29 Powerball drawing produced 15,799 winning tickets ranging from $4 to $200 totaling $102,151.
