Last year the average price of regular gasoline per gallon in North Carolina was $3.42, which is almost 5 cents cheaper this year as the state average right now sits at $3.38, according to www.northcarolinagasprices.com.
In Boone, the average price ranges from $3.36 per gallon to $3.42, which is relatively low compared to the national average that sits at $3.63 per gallon.
