N.C. Lottery Weekly Winner Wrap-up, Lottery Players Across State Win $24 Million Last Week

March 31, 2014. Since Thursday, March 20, lottery players in North Carolina won more than $24 million in prizes. During that time, players of instant scratch-off games won more than $16 million. Players of draw games won more than $8 million in total prizes.

Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $15 million if taken as an annuity or $8.3 million if taken as a lump sum. In Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing, 27,846 tickets won prizes ranging from $1 to $5,000 totaling $67,848. In the March 21 drawing, 28,456 tickets won $94,549 in prizes ranging from $1 to $2,500.

Saturday’s Powerball players have the chance to win a $50 million jackpot if taken as an annuity or $28.7 million if taken as a lump sum. Wednesday’s Powerball drawing produced 11,856 winning tickets ranging from $4 to $200 totaling $72,075. The Saturday, March 22 Powerball drawing produced 15,083 winning tickets ranging from $4 to $10,000 totaling $101,781.

The numbers 1-0-1-0 in Tuesday’s afternoon Carolina Pick 4 drawing added up to a $4 million win in total prizes paid to more than 2,800 winning tickets. It was the fourth largest prize amount paid to winners since the game launched in 2009.
